- Before The Start of Your Remodeling Project
- Initial Phone Call or E-mail
- General Information and Scheduling Estimator Appointment
- Estimator Site Visit
- Preparation of Project Proposal (Bid)
- Questions, Discussion and Revisions
- Acceptance of Final Proposal
- Project Preparation
- First Payment (Usually 30% of Total Estimate)
- Builder's Permit (Usually Pulled by Minnesota Statewide Roofing and Remodeling, Inc.)
- General Planning
- Homeowner, Deletions and Lead Carpenter Walk Through the Project
- Scheduling Start of Project
- Homeowner Decisions (Colors, Appliances, Cabinets, Doors, Carpets, etc.)
- Ordering of Materials
- Schedule Subcontractors
- During Project
- Second Payment (Usually 30 % of Total Estimate)
- Owner Will Remove Fragile, Valuable and Easily Removable Items Out of the Work Area (Including Traffic Pathways)
- Demolition
- Steps of Project (Rough-in and Finish Carpentry, Sheetrocking, Plumbing, Electrical, Installation, Flooring, Painting, etc.)
- Use of Customer/Lead Carpenter PROJECT LOGBOOK for Questions, Issues and Project Scheduling/Coordination/Progress Updates (When Customer Cannot Routinely Be Available On-site)
- Project Substantially Completed
- Third Payment (Usually 30%)
- Project Turned Over to the Homeowner
- After Progress
- Final Project Completion
- Final Payment (Remaining Amount Due After Completion and Additions/Deletions Associated with Change Orders)
- Minnesota Statewide Roofing and Remodeling, Inc., Requests Permission to Use Customer as a Reference
- Customers Tell Friends About Successful Project and Receive up to $500 for Referral
- Customer Calls Us Again for Another Project
Phases of the Roofing/Siding Process - The process of roofing, siding, trim cover-up systems and other "Exterior" work is similar to the previously described remodeling process, but more compressed.
